Last week’s Laboratory Data and Information Management Summit in Amsterdam raised a number of interesting points. The programme touched on three different aspects of managing laboratory day and information; firstly, the on-going debate about the lack of standards, secondly, how to deal with the ever increasing volumes of data being generated in the laboratory, and [...]  I’m just back from Berlin and IQPC’s 6th Annual SmartLab Exchange. Since its inception, this is a meeting I have always enjoyed since it brings together an influential community of users, vendors and consultants in the laboratory data, information and knowledge management space for a meeting that offers a slightly different format to the traditional [...] IQPC’s annual ELN conference celebrated its 9th birthday in Amsterdam last week, and despite the concern that ELN conferences will progressively fade away as the industry matures, the attendance was up (delegates and vendors), and all in all, the event was quite lively.
