Tony Beugelsdijk was one of the three founders of ALA (Association of Laboratory Automation) ( http://www.labautomation.org/ ), which is an international organization devoted to laboratory automation, founded in 1996 and home of the annual conference, LabAutomation. He passed away on Friday, August 21st.
