Frank Brown, the Chief Science Officer at Accelrys gave an interesting paper at the IQPC SmatLabs meeting in London in which he presented a holistic view of the future potential of information technology in the laboratory. I just came across reference to this another paper by Frank, ‘Lean Innovation’, published in Industry Week, which points to a number of opportunities for technology to speed new product development.
